Care & Cleaning
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. For best results, turn the tote inside out before washing when possible. Do not bleach or dry clean. Air drying is recommended for maximum longevity, or tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron directly over the printed design.
Returns & Refunds Policy
At Briar & Quill, each item is carefully created, packaged, and inspected before it heads your way. We want you to love what you receive, but we understand that sometimes things don’t work out.
Returns
We accept returns on eligible, unused items within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
Unused, unworn, and in its original condition
Free from stains, odors, pet hair, makeup, or other signs of use
Returned with any original packaging, tags, or product cards when applicable
Please contact us before sending anything back so we can provide return instructions.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Items
Because of the nature of certain products, the following are not eligible for return or exchange:
Customized or personalized products
Made-to-order items specifically created for the customer
Digital products or downloads
Gift cards
Clearance or final-sale merchandise
Items that have been used, washed, worn, or altered
Drinkware that has been used for food or beverages
Items returned outside the return window
Minor variations in color, placement, texture, or finish are not considered defects. Many Briar & Quill products are handmade or individually produced, so slight differences may occur from item to item.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Include:
Your order number
A description of the issue
Clear photos of the item
Photos of the packaging if the order was damaged during shipping
Once reviewed, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Please do not discard damaged items or packaging until we have reviewed your claim, as photos may be required to process it.
Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow approximately 5–10 business days after the refund is processed for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to an error by Briar & Quill.
Exchanges
We do not currently offer traditional exchanges.
If you would like a different design or product, please return the eligible original item and place a new order for the item you would prefer.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Orders may only be canceled before production or fulfillment has begun. Once an order has entered production, been customized, or shipped, it cannot be canceled.
Lost, Stolen, or Misdelivered Packages
Briar & Quill is not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the shipping carrier that are subsequently lost, stolen, or misplaced.
If your tracking information shows delivery but you cannot locate your package, we recommend checking with household members, neighbors, your local carrier, and the delivery location first.
If a package appears to have been lost while still in transit, please contact us so we can help determine the appropriate next steps with the shipping carrier.
Incorrect Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout.
If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping charges to have the order resent.
Handmade & Small-Batch Products
Many Briar & Quill products are designed, printed, pressed, assembled, or finished by hand. Small differences in print placement, color, texture, sizing, or finish are a natural part of the handmade and small-batch process and do not generally qualify as defects.
